David Phillips is a Principal Consultant in Business Alignment for Daugherty Business Solutions, a national consulting company with over 1,200 consultants across the country. David has spent his entire career in consulting with Fortune 500 companies in various business analysis, scrum, and XP roles. He has been in the Chicagoland area for two and half years, based out of Logan Square, but has also lived in Atlanta and Minneapolis and has been a member of IIBA since 2014.
David has spent his career jumping back and forth between serving technology delivery teams and supporting the operations of various business groups across enterprises, finding value and solutions at the confluence of new technology and rapidly changing business problems. He has a strong background in data and analytics, user experience design and delivery, product management, and leading development teams to cultivate agile problem solving cultures.
VP OF FINANCE
Charlene Ceci is an active Core Team member of the IIBA Chicagoland Chapter, and has presented on Business Analysis topics at conferences and events.
Charlene is an experienced Senior Project Manager and Senior Lead Business Analyst, with extensive experience in the following areas: data collection systems, project auditing, full life-cycle development – both PMBOK and Agile/Scrum, test planning/execution and system implementation. Charlene has a proven ability to streamline processes, rapidly define requirements, control scope, mitigate risks, and delegate tasks. She leads all project phases, resulting in the implementation of powerful systems, on time, and within budget. She builds high-performing teams with local, virtual and off-shore resources. She is results-focused, with emphasis on collaboration, quality, accountability, and sustainability. Charlene is CBAP and PMP certified.
Charlene has held leadership and consulting roles in business analysis and project management for companies that include Geneca, Mercer, Redbox, HCSC (BlueCross BlueShield) and Experian.
VP OF RELATIONSHIPS
Karen Richards Karen Richards is a Senior Account Executive with NueVista Group, an IT Consulting and services firm focused in the Chicagoland market. She has been with NueVista for the past 15 years and has been involved in the Chicago chapter of the IIBA since 2007.
Karen’s expertise is relationship management, sales and marketing. She has worked with numerous clients over the years assisting with technology projects and organizational growth via the best resources available. She has built and fostered a reputation of partnering with her clients and looking after their best interests rather than just filling a role. Through the IT Leadership practice at NueVista Group she’s worked to introduce organizations to the IIBA and to further the careers and increase the effectiveness of their BAs.
She has a B.S. from Loyola University in Chicago.
David De Witt, Director for NueVista Group’s IT Leadership Practice, has more than 25 years experience in business analysis, organizational leadership, management consulting, business process improvement, and Information Systems optimization in a variety of industries. He holds the Certified Business Analysis Professional ® designation from the International Institute of Business Analysis ® and the Certified Business Architect ® from the Business Architects Association ®.
David’s industry expertise includes his extensive work in supply chain and third party logistics, financial services, energy utilities, health care, and telecommunications. He has mentored companies in their strategic planning and management of Information Systems, leading initiatives in IS department governance, business alignment, staffing, infrastructure development, and especially regulatory compliance support and reporting. David has facilitated cross-functional, multi-level work groups through a variety of processes, including strategic planning, business requirements development, business decision making, product design, and process improvement. He has worked in businesses of all sizes as well as non-profit organizations. Collaborating with his clients, he has designed group work processes and methods that make the most of everyone's time and provide a reliable means to achieve business objectives. As a facilitated session leader, David has employed this robust methodology to improve customer satisfaction, insure participation of all stakeholders, and eliminate the need to revisit issues. Through his facilitated, structured, documented sessions the client team can focus on the task at hand, avoid the meeting pitfalls that can cause frustration, and obtain high quality, tangible results in a compressed timeframe.
He is active in several professional organizations that foster best practices for the delivery of successful business projects. David has served as the Vice President for Marketing and Relationships of the Chicagoland Chapter of the International Institute for Business Analysis and Treasurer for the Chicago Chapter of the International Association of Facilitators.
